Christians are cheap. I know that sounds cold and cruel, but it’s true. And I’m one of them! If I can swap services, instead of paying money, I will. If I can get someone to volunteer to do something, I will. And if I feel led to do something for no pay, I will. I’m feeding into the fad, I know. I am often approached by small homeschool newsletter editors asking if they can reprint my articles. Sure! I’ve been published in Canada, New York, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, California and, of course, Oklahoma. I’ve been published in various e-newsletters, too. It’s thrilling to see your name in print, and to know people are reading and gleaning from your words. I certainly hope they are seeing Jesus in me!
I’ll keep writing, and I’ll keep giving my free stuff away as reprints. I’m hoping to write some new stuff for our large group newsletter (CHEF of OK), and then I can give those away as reprints, too. I spent a day last month with three magazines and a spiral. I wrote down the cover snippets and then reworded them to be homeschooling-related titles. I have a long list of possible articles to write now!
